Frankly, if you’re asking..yeah you need two monitors. Maybe even 3 but we’ll start with baby steps.
If you’re looking for ways to immediately increase your productivity while working from home, adding a second monitor will give you an immediate boost. The New York Times has reported that the average person should expect 20-30% boost in productivity when adding an additional screen. That’s pretty significant!
I was once a one monitor gal. Looking down on those #NERDS with their spaceship setups with multiple monitors. Not gonna lie, I use to silently judge people who used actual mouses with laptops instead of the track pad. We’ve grown since then (thankfully).
You’re here because you want to make the most of working from home and tap into a level of productivity you haven’t reached, you need to take your home office set up seriously. And that includes at least two monitors
“B-but I can do everything with one monitor what do I need two for?” Do you pull up a email on your phone and pull up relevant documentation on your computer then draft the response email on your tablet? Maybe you don’t do this exact thing but I’m sure you’re getting the point. An additional monitor makes all of that so much faster and easier. For me it’s reference docs on one page write up on another. No more flipping back and forth and that’s a lot of productivity gained with a low lift.
Do you have a second monitor? Why or why not? Comment down below.
